It all starts with the pumpkins...which were HUGE and about 10 francs a piece!
The girls had to carry them home from the downtown store - up hill -but Kai only had to hold his pumpkin on his lap while I pushed him up the hill! We barely made it home!
Pumpkin Carving
The finished product!
Halloween!
Hermione (from Harry Potter)
Spiderman (with a little Captain America twist - from last year - and cool shades)
| We had a little witch visiting us! |
Trick-or-treating with fellow Americans - apartment style!
Our pumpkins were doing some cool things!
Fun! How many Trick-O-Treaters were there? When I was in Paris over Halloween about 5 years ago--- there were barely any. Mostly teenagers with a few painted faces on the streets. Good American girl Davis! One day your kids will be able to remember how they lugged pumpkins up a hill in Lausanne. We had fun here. Much quieter Halloween than past few years since Halloween fell on a Monday. Just not as much HOOPLA as normal. Brooke was a Flapper. Brie was a Doll. Austin was Army Camo head-to-toe. We bought pumpkins about the same size as yours for about $3.99 (US Dollars of course...) each at CVS Pharmacy. Not a Pumpkin Patch--- but they were nice and at a good price. Scott made his traditional Halloween night Corn Chowder with a slice of crusty bread. As Bertie would say: "YUM-O!" Thanks again for the post expat-chells!
ReplyDeleteHow fun to see all these fun pictures. Iam in Dorothy and Sue's ward and also a Swiss girl from Zuerich. These pictures almost made my husband and I a little homesick.. I love having Sue and Dorothy as my friends. We are planning a trip to Switzerland next July. Enjoy a little Swiss Chocolate for us. what a beautiful family you have.
