Des Alpes

 The traditional parade of cows through the village streets decorated with flowers and huge cow bells with their masters dressed in traditional Swiss atire.  "Des Alpes" meaning the descent of cows off the mountains down to their winter place until they return in the spring.  This tradition is practiced in many small villages throughout the region.  We chose to go to Semsales where their poulation is around 1000.  It is a darling village with a beautiful church.  The girls managed to find some local boys who they thought were darling too!
