"Mom and dad...you promised we would travel if we moved to Switzerland!!!"

So we took our first trip to to Annecy, France

We arrived in Annecy around lunch time to perfect pic-nic weather.  It was a perfect day!  We had our lunch on the deck of our hotel "Hôtel du Château" which was literally "the hotel next to the castle".  You can see it in the background behind Shawn and Soren.

We visited the "Palais de l'isle" which wasn't really a palace at all...it was a prison and also where they made coins for a while.  It is really an island.

 

 

 

Thank goodness for modern day kitchens!!!
