HaLLoWeEN

It all starts with the pumpkins...which were HUGE and about 10 francs a piece!
The girls had to carry them home from the downtown store - up hill -but Kai only had to hold his pumpkin on his lap while I  pushed him up the hill!  We barely made it home!

Pumpkin Carving
The finished product!
Halloween!
Hermione (from Harry Potter)

 Halloween Ballet Dancer

 Luna (from Harry Potter)

Spiderman (with a little Captain America twist - from last year - and cool shades)

We had a little witch visiting us!
Trick-or-treating with fellow Americans - apartment style!

Our pumpkins were doing some cool things!

Château de Chillon

Today we visited Château de Chillon in Montreux, Switzerland.  It was the most amazing castle I have ever visited!  The architecture is amazing with beautiful pieces of furniture.  The location is fantastic with
incredible lake views all the way to France!

Jordan and Sage met some "older" Swiss guys at the Château!

 HUGE fireplace

This 400 year old chest was our favorite!  The workmanship was beautiful!

The kids are all peeking out of the tower!

They are filming a movie which added to the ambiance, having people walking around in period clothing.

Chocolate and Cheese

First...Cheese
Gruyère, Switzerland

We visited the "fromagerie" where they make the world famous "Gruyère" cheese.
This is where they store the cheese. It looks like FORT KNOX for cheese!

(This is the link to the Factory!)
Now...Chocolate!
Maison Cailler Chocolate Factory in Broc, Switzerland
What I learned at this glorious "maison" is François-Louis Cailler was a genius!  I have been to Hershey, PA and tasted our famous American chocolate and...SWISS RULE!  You can't replicate this chocolate...
only embrace it!
At the end of the tour you are greeted by "all you can consume" chocolate! You can seriously only partake of so much of this rich, creamy chocolate.  I must admit...I shied away from the "Feminina" named chocolates because it seemed sexist.  After watching my girls eyes light up, I caved and partook.  Not only did I LOVE these chocolates, I made Shawn buy a box at the end of the tour!
Every day?!?!
